Pursuit Coaching and Development

Our responsibilities for this project:
  • New design and interpretation of the Pursuit branding
  • Design and development of a fully responsive website
  • Mega-navigation to showcase the complete range of services & content
  • Innovative use of typography and styling to combine the page H1s for SEO with ‘nice titles’ for better human readability.
  • Paramount that the client could edit and maintain the site themselves
  • Dynamic testimonial content
  • Extensible case studies
  • Migrated blog content from previous site
  • Integrated third-party booking solution
  • Mailing list integration

Rachael McNidder of Pursuit Coaching and Development discovered us via another website we had created, specifically for the coaching community. Impressed enough by our work on that website, she asked us about a redesign of her own site which, although created by a designer previously, had been self-maintained for a while. Rachael suggested the site could benefit from both a ‘glossy’ design refresh, but also from targeting the two key audiences of the site (Individuals and Organisations) more effectively using relevant, but human, language.

The new website was to primarily be a way for prospective customers who have heard about Rachael or Pursuit Coaching to read more about key services, and impart trust via case studies, accreditations, the testimonials of other clients, and to ultimately get in touch for a consultation.

Responsive Website Design and Reinterpreting the Brand

The site, like all sites we build, is fully responsive and adapts seamlessly across devices from desktops to tablets and smartphones. Every component, from service listings to testimonials and forms, renders elegantly for any screen size. We reinterpreted Pursuit’s brand identity with new visual styling, using an authentic, professional tone that aligns with leadership development. The site features a toned down blue as a primary, reminiscent of a calm business atmosphere combined with sharp yellows wherever attention is necessary. The other colours from the logo such as red have been used sparingly as accents throughout the site.

It also features:

Mega‑Navigation

Considering the large amount of services Pursuit offers, we decided on a robust mega‑nav that organises all the services with a short description. This allows the users to quickly find detailed offerings by audience and creates a clear structure for browsing.

Balancing SEO and UX

A smart typography structure: SEO‑friendly but smaller looking H1 tags (for example: Executive Coaching) paired with more “friendly” headings (Lead with Confidence and Clarity) styled to look like the main title. This makes sure that search engines still find this site for related keywords while user attention is captured by the friendlier title of the page.

Case Studies & Migrated Blog

Existing blog content was migrated from the previous site into the new design. We also created a framework for adding and managing case studies over time, ensuring content can grow in a structured way.

Dynamic Testimonials

Testimonials live in the site database, but are dynamically pulled into all relevant pages. Each case study features a relevant quote to reinforce the message, and more can be added easily.

Appointment Booking & Mailing List Integration

The site seamlessly integrates a booking system allowing clients to schedule sessions with Rachael directly on the site. It also supports mailing list signups to receive updates and insight content, helping Pursuit with client engagement and capturing leads.

Client‑Editable CMS

Pursuit Coaching and Development can fully edit and maintain the site independently. They can update services, blog posts, case studies, testimonials, text and multimedia content using a visual page builder interface. Global site options also make changes to things like accreditation logos and professional memberships simple.

"I used Ethical Pixels for my updated website. The service I received has been second to none. Friendly, polite and easy to work with. Larry took me through the whole process, helping me make confident decisions about the structure, clearly explaining everything, and working patiently with me whilst I supplied the copy. I couldn't be more pleased with the end result and would highly recommend!"
Rachael McNidder,

It’s always nice to work with the coaching community, as they are used to defining and communicating their goals. We enjoyed working with Rachael very much, and are over the moon that she’s happy with the finished site.
