Our responsibilities

  • Wireframing and design of a simple site to showcase the quality and range of Stained Glass design, encapsulation and repair.
  • Limited glassmorphism elements to reflect the subject matter
  • Interactive portfolio of work examples
  • Integration of video content
  • Contact form and secondary contact routes

The challenge

We first met Jennifer Ashworth at a kind of event most people don’t attend every day. While it’s common to share what each of you do for a living, it’s less common to meet someone who hand-crafts stunning works of stained glass!

Although unrelated to our businesses, we got talking about her old website and the potential benefits of an update.

What we did

We suggested to Jenn that her site could benefit from putting high-quality images of her work front-and-centre, as well as presenting a filterable portfolio gallery. She also had some great video content that already existed and could be worked into the site to communicate the full range and extent of her work quickly.

We wanted to give the site a simple but distinct idea, and decided to leverage the current trend for glassmorphism with a distinct thick, black border reminiscent of panels of stained glass themselves.

The result

The previous site was replaced without any issues or interruption to web or email service. Ethical Pixels have also taken on hosting of the site, which is powered by 100% renewable energy, as verified by the Green Web Foundation

Built with our special recipe of WordPress and visual page builder tools for ease of content management and maintenance, the site was simply topped off by sourcing and displaying a range of testimonials from JA Stained Glass’ happy customers.

If you get a chance to check out Jenn’s work at JA Stained Glass, please do – it’s stunning.
